SomniCool™ is Roya’s signature sleepwear fabric, made from 95% Tanboocel® bamboo and 5% spandex.

It’s designed to be:

Unlike standard bamboo fabrics, SomniCool™ is made using a more environmentally responsible process and is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, meaning it’s tested for harmful substances.

The result is a fabric that feels silky-soft, keeps you cool and dry, and is safe to wear for hours against your skin.

Tanboocel® is a premium bamboo fiber used in our SomniCool™ fabric.

It has a smoother, denser structure than standard bamboo, which means:

• It feels softer (similar to silk or cashmere)
• It absorbs more moisture than cotton
• It allows better airflow and breathability

In simple terms, it’s what gives Roya sleepwear its luxurious feel and cooling performance.

Yes. Our bamboo is grown organically, without pesticides.

It’s then processed and finished to meet OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification, ensuring the final fabric is free from harmful chemicals.

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is a global safety certification for textiles.

It means every part of the product (fabric, dyes, threads) has been tested for harmful substances such as:

• Formaldehyde
• Heavy metals
• Pesticides
• Chemical residues

Bamboo has several advantages over both conventional and organic cotton:

Farming

• Bamboo grows quickly and needs no pesticides
• Cotton (especially conventional) is one of the most pesticide-heavy crops
• Bamboo uses far less water

Fabric performance

• Bamboo is softer and smoother
• More breathable
• More moisture-wicking (absorbs more than cotton)

Environmental impact

• Bamboo regenerates naturally and prevents soil erosion
• Roya uses a closed-loop process, which recaptures and reuses chemicals instead of releasing them

Organic cotton is a good option, but bamboo (done properly) is often: more sustainable + more comfortable
